Ombre Me Baby !!!

Can I please take a post to discuss how much I am loving my hair!!!!

I went out on a limb and decided to try the L’oreal Feria Intense Ombre kit in color 050 on my previously worn bundles of hair. The color was made for dark brown to soft black hair so in my mind this was the perfect color for my wefts. My original plan was to wait and let my friend, who is actually a licensed beautician and hair miracle worker, color the hair for me but after watching a few YouTube videos I felt brave and decided to just go for it!

Pictured above we have “the set up”.
These were the tools that came in the box and pretty much all that I used on the hair.
I laid the hair out on the floor so that the clean up process would be easier once I was done with my experiment.

I let the color sit on the hair for as long as I could take it (which was less than the maximum time allotted) then rinsed it and shampooed and conditioned and blow-dried *wipes sweat off forehead* ….

This is the color of the hair once all that was done.

Now to be honest, when I first saw this color I thought to myself ….”This color is gross. * drops head* What have I done! “Alas, it was the only hair I had at the time so I had no choice but to use it. I figured if it didn’t look nice once it was installed I could always rinse it back to jet black.

I went to my friend’s house (mentioned above) to get the wefts installed. Her instagram name is ctaylrd and you can click HERE to check out her work on her instagram page!

Now for the results!!!!

Once this hair was attached to my head I became too HYYPPEEE LOL
I’m loving the results and I plan to play with hair color more often!

Another DIY gone right 🙂 What color should I try next??
